Mission Critical: Home and Healthcare Robotics

AUVSI is proud to present the third edition of a new electronic quarterly publication, "Mission Critical."

Each issue will examine a different topic area in depth and is available free electronically to AUVSI members and in paid printed form to all.

This issue examines home and healthcare robotics. We take a look at "smart" homes that can help monitor the health of their inhabitants; the use of telepresence robots in the home and the office; and how unmanned systems technology is used in every facet of medical care, from the diagnosis to the operating table.

We also interview leading technologists and end users, look at some of the technology challenges facing the industry and peek at how pop culture has reflected the idea of home and healthcare robotics.
