Mission Critical

AUVSI is proud to present the first edition of a new electronic quarterly publication, "Mission Critical."

Each issue will examine a different topic area in depth and is available free to AUVSI members to read on our website, and is available on MagCloud for printing.

This first issue examines intelligent transportation and includes a feature story about the National Federation of the Blind's Blind Driver Challenge, where technology, rooted in DARPA's robotic vehicle challenges, helps blind people drive. We also take a look at the U.S. Department of Transportation's connected vehicle efforts and a European project to develop "road training," both of which could make future driving safer and more efficient.
