Red Nature

During the Covid-19 lockdown of 2020, I started walking my neighborhood every day. It became a ritual, a way to breathe, to slow down, to notice - along the way, I began collecting plants.

Back in my studio, I passed them under my etching press, letting each one leave its mark on heavy printmaking paper. The result is this series of monochrome monotypes, each one unique, composed in a rich palette of reds.
