The Perendale is one of three breeds developed to handle specific New Zealand environments, in this case the dry hills of the North Island. (The breeds that originated on the South Island are the Coopworth and the Corriedale.) Sir Geoffrey Peren of what is now Massey University directed their origin, and has an overall remarkable story. The sheep grow lovely mid-grade wools.

Printed document plus free digital version; 8x8" publication. This document contains theory and practical knowledge for fiber arts enthusiasts of all skill levels. The handouts are heavily illustrated.
