“The world’s cutest sheep”: When Valais Blacknose photos started appearing on the internet, it was hard to believe they were real: they looked like stuffed animals. They are, of course, quite real and very pleasant animals. This document looks at the breed’s source environment in Switzerland and the means by which it has been introduced to the United States, initially by upgrading or upbreeding and more recently by embryo transplant. Valais Blacknose wool varies from pleasant to crispy.

Printed document plus free digital version; 8x8" publication. This document contains theory and practical knowledge for fiber arts enthusiasts of all skill levels. The handouts are heavily illustrated.

Copyright: It takes a lot of time and significant resources to do this work, and I am self-supporting. Please honor the copyright. If you would like to use print or electronic copies for a group presentation or event or breed promotion, please get in touch about bulk pricing.
