There are more Suffolks in the United States than any other breed, and most of their wool goes to waste--which is an incredible shame, because it resists felting so thoroughly that objects made from it (socks, kids' sweaters) can be machine washed and dried without shrinking. The sheep's black faces mean there may be black fibers in the wool. Industry doesn't want that.
Printed document plus free digital version; 8.25x10.75” double sided flyer. This document contains an overview of breed information directed to fiber arts enthusiasts of all skill levels. These are merely an introduction to the breed – there is always more to learn!
