Right Here!

These are pictures of things I saw between 1980 and 2026. They are observations rather than statements. Most were made in the Pacific Northwest, especially in Oregon. I hope they honor the subtle, often overlooked beauty that is there in so much of the human-made landscape.

Sometimes I’m ambushed by the humor of (unintended?) wordplay on signs, or the occasional odd juxtaposition. Sometimes the words I find strike me as an extremely short poem.

I’ve been known in other projects to add text or found images to my pictures, but not this time. They are pretty much as found.
