The dictionary defines the word “selfless” as concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with one's own; unselfish or "an act of selfless devotion". Straight forward, right? But, if I am entirely devoted to a matter it may be construed as acting through self-serving motivations, right? Yet, I can be selfish for a worthy cause and that would be alright. This is why I am devoting my time to benefiting a particular, and most worthy, cause that is dear to my heart - Poverty!
