Many Latino communities have in recent years begun to bring the Día de los Muertos celebrations north of the border, in an effort to educate the public on the true meaning of the holiday and keep the tradition alive for their younger generation. In Northern Arizona, Día de los Muertos-related celebrations have been seen in recent years in Winslow, Sedona and Prescott.
