The July 2014 edition of Amigos805 opens with a cover story on the growth of summer learning camps in the 805 region, including the annual Young Writers Camp at local colleges and universities and the new El Centrito STEAM Summer Camp. The edition also includes details on a $50,000 grant awarded by Southern California Edison to the Lacayo workforce program at CSU Channel Islands, the selection of a new executive director for the Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project in Oxnard, a promotion at Allan Hancock College and other local news.
