Many of the applications used by hospitality companies have evolved and grown in complexity over the course of multiple technology eras. With complexity comes diminished ability to rapidly implement new innovations, along with greater costs to support, develop, and maintain applications. At some juncture, these costs—including revenue and profit opportunity costs—tip the scale and create the imperative to modernize or risk decline.
