Skill Level: Easy/Intermediate

This sweet little apple hat crochets up quickly, and the fingering weight cotton blend makes it extra special for baby.

This crochet pattern calls for ½, (½, ¾, 1) ball of Knit Picks® Comfy Fingering Yarn [50 g (1.76 oz)/199 meters (218 yds) per ball], a 3.25 mm (D) crochet hook, a 2.75 mm (C) crochet hook, and uses the following stitches and techniques: adjustable ring, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, front post double crochet, and back post double crochet.

The pattern is complete with detailed instructions for 4 different sizes. • Size Preemie: Fits 26.7 cm (10½”) in circumference. • Size Newborn: Fits 30.5 cm (12”) in circumference. • Size 0(0-3 months): Fits 34.3 cm (13½”) in circumference. • Size 1(3-6 months): Fits 38.1 cm (15”) in circumference. Age ranges are approximate and are intended as a reference only. Since every child is different, we recommend measuring the child’s head.
