“Feeling that Merriment,” explores the rhythms of the City of Ithaca at twilight between October 2019 and April 2020. Harry Littell's photographs capture the small dramas of people and architecture, the mystery of night becoming day and day becoming night again. As the series progresses, the impact of the arrival of Covid-19 is felt in subtle ways. The meanings of the images evolve as the context changes, and events that were once unimaginable become the new normal.
