Lest We Forget

  • Description

How will we memorialize our moment in America, when the country has lost more people to the Covid-19 pandemic than died in World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War combined? In “Lest We Forget,” photographer Harry Littell and writer Ron Ostman attempt to mark this moment in time by bearing witness to the everyday scenes, details, and historical reminders found in a small swath of upstate New York, including Auburn, Cortland, Elmira, Ithaca, Owego, and Watkins Glen, as seen between September 2020 and July 2021.
