Rebecca Webb (riverwebb)

Rebecca Webb is a fine art photographer who visually investigates the dynamics of human relationships and the connection between identity and the places people inhabit. She exhibits her photo work in galleries in Boston, New York City, San Diego and various museums nation-wide. Webb has a background in painting, printmaking, and film. She has worked on documentaries and feature films with directors William Klein, Darren Arronofsky and Hal Hartley, to name a few, and lectures every now and then on the topics of photography and film production at UC San Diego.

Webb also explores the future of film-going and film-making in her role as film curator for ArtPower at UC San Diego. In 2014, she inaugurated the ArtPower Filmatic Festival to present immersive new media experiences at the intersection of science, cinema, and technology, in addition to “Expanded Cinema” events.
