Peter van Geldern (petervg)

Born the evening of December 31, 1964, I represent the last of the baby boomers. This unique position has inspired me to lead the charge in transitioning our post-consumer society towards a more just and sustainable way of functioning. Shades of Green Network, the green economy network, spearheads that mission by creating a meeting place on the web and in person for leading green professionals to network and create deal flow, to access investment and funding sources, and to offer human resources for growing green companies which when combined together stimulate the new green economy. As a serial entrepreneur, I have started and run several businesses such as Idea Agents, an innovation agency, Synergy Group, a new media and event production company, Eco Smart Homes LLC, a green home design / build firm, and Peace University, an online education portal, to name a few. In addition to leading the community within princetongreen.org, I am a fine arts, digital arts high school teacher at Bridgeport International Academy (BIA). BIA brings me great satisfaction by helping these budding adults learn new ways to express there talents and passions. With over 25 years of experience in innovation & design, I have become a multi-disciplinary leader in fields such as event production, documentary film making, intellectual property, start-up incubation, investor relations, branding, web and graphic design, social media marketing, strategic business planning, the green building & energy efficiency industry, building information modeling (BIM) and integrated design, town planning & project pitching, community supported agriculture (CSA) farming, and cause-based organizational development.
