KC Stage Magazine (KCStage)

KC Stage Magazine is the most comprehensive resource of performing arts for the Kansas City metro area, covering theatre, dance, music, and independent film. The monthly print magazine and website provides event listings and articles about the performing arts and film industries in and around the Kansas City metro area, and occasionally items that are regional or national. There are over 200 arts organizations registered with KC Stage, from Lawrence to Warrensburg, including every level of expertise from educational to professional.

Started in 1998 by Diane Bulan and Jen Tracy, it was originally conceived as a way to combine Kansas City area audition and performance information into one publication.

The magazine, while not a non-profit, is run entirely by volunteers who do it for the love of the performing arts. Our goals remain pretty much the same as when the magazine started: to be the one place for listing auditions, performances, and other performing arts-related events, as well as to cover the issues and people that impact the performing arts in and around the Kansas City area.
