Just a Bit Radical started as a blog my partner Elizabeth inspired me to start writing. I had been spending an evening watching videos of the LGBTQ* youth (and many young straight youth) who had lost their lives too soon due to bullycide. I sat in front of my computer with tissues in hand, wondering why there were no print resources out there that catered to youth. Yes, there are many LGBTQ* magazines, each with a different niche. None that hear from the young people that bullying is affecting, or they catered to a specific demographic of the queer umbrella. Elizabeth asked me, calmly, “Well, why don’t we make a magazine?” and after many brainstorming sessions, Just a Bit Radical was born.
