Cohort 4 of Cal State LA’s Prison Graduation Initiative is a group of resilient scholars and leaders who earned their Bachelor of Arts degrees through higher education in prison. Dedicated to personal growth and community impact, they explore why education behind bars matters—fostering rehabilitation, reducing recidivism, building skills, restoring dignity, and creating pathways to successful reentry.
