Henri Colt (artdoctor)

Henri Colt is a writer, trekker and physician educator. He is an editor and contributing author of the text, The Picture of Health: Medical Ethics and the Movies (Oxford University Press). As a pulmonologist, Henri has written a multitude of articles and books related to diagnosis and care of those with life threatening lung disease.

Coming of age in Southern France, Colt was exposed to its 1970s art movements. He is an avid visual arts collector with a burgeoning interest in both Pop and Los Angeles Street Art. Amedeo Modigliani: Drunken Bohemian or Contagious Consumptive is the first of Colt’s Art, Medicine and Society series examining artists succumbing to illnesses which characterize their epochs. We Are All a Little Crazy, Darling (Amazon) is his first short story collection, with the second being Psycho Bitch and Other Stories.

Henri Colt’s writings intimately reflect the landscapes, cultures and peoples of over one-hundred countries in which he has traveled.
