PAPER MUSE

The images in this book are from a thesis project by Maddie Toro entitled Paper Muse. The images in this series reflect process first and foremost. They are concerned with color, space and rhythm of line, with a nod to formal aspects of design. Using found image I construct intentionally ambiguous visual narratives for the viewer to experience and interpret. The imagery functions independently without direct effort to impart any specific meaning. Instead, I hope the viewer will form their own reactions or have personal memories evoked through conscious and subconscious associations.
