Connections Art Catalog: Connections is a contemplative abstract series by artist Gwen Meharg exploring the joy of discovering order in the midst of chaos. The paintings make room for hope within the bold contrasts and subtle shifts of color and texture. The layering and paint application creates a sculptural quality to the paintings that invites the viewer to enter deeply into the work. Connections paintings are easy to spend time with; beautiful from across the room yet close examination reveals a multitude of visual surprises. The debut showing of this series is April 23 through July 6, 2013.
