MILDRED RODRIGUEZ The artist has chosen to capture the eccentricities of humans as they acquire peace when touched by nature and the outdoors. One-of-a-kind personalities exist at the turn of every corner. These personalities become especially distinctive and alive when in natural environments. Nature—trees, flowers, water, sky, sun, clouds¬—enlivens people. People become inspired when riding horses, when sitting on a bench surrounded with fallen leaves, when smelling flowers at the local bodega, or when sitting serenely with a friend under the natural arches of tall trees. Human expression is most honest when in harmony with nature. The photos capture this phenomenon. Towards the end I also included some portraits with authentic facial expressions.
