David Florimbi: Going and Coming

Frank Pictures is proud to present David Florimbi’s seventh one-man show with the gallery. Following on the heels of his sold old exhibition, “The Sky’s The Limit!” is, “Going and Coming,” a series of landscape paintings that are clearly not just landscapes. “There’s a feeling when looking at them,” writes Charles Donelan in his essay for the book that accompanies the exhibition, “that they might lift you off your feet and suck you bodily into the space they imply. This is landscape as visual vortex, and at times it seems as though the uncertain “soaring or sinking” feeling they provoke is the real subject of these images.
