When I discovered this rare, heavyweight tapestry in Galatone, the Italian master weaver refused to sell it to me. He insisted, "There is no way you can make a dress out of this."

I accepted the challenge. Sculpted by hand and beaded at the bodice to counterbalance the weight of the textile, this gown represents the victory of vision over tradition. It is a piece that was never supposed to exist. Archival Textile, One-of-a-Kind.
