Between the Lines

BETWEEN THE LINES is not a record of performances. It is a record of what happens hours before, and moments before. Since its founding in 2022, I have been photographing Youth Grand Prix Philippines. While the spotlight was always on the stage, I found myself looking elsewhere: at the masterclasses, the tension before competition, and the quiet rituals behind the curtain. These are the moments that live between the perfect balletic lines shaped by the body and choreography. Dance is often called ephemeral. Photography offers it a kind of permanence. It does not hold it still, but recognizes its passing and gives weight to what usually disappears. Youth Grand Prix Philippines or YGP Philippines is still young, yet already rich with stories. This zine gathers fragments from its first three years. It is not a full archive but a portrait in impressions, a study of grace, discipline, vulnerability, and becoming. These are the images I found between the lines.
