Regimes Museum Journal Volume 12, no. 2

This quarter’s edition of the RMJ is a special issue featuring promising young historians. Both of the articles in this issue were written by undergraduate students early in not only their careers, but in their educational journeys overall — and yet, we have found their research to be insightful and compelling. Both are comparative studies: DiMassa’s article seeks parallels and key differences between the political philosophies of Akhund Kurasani and Martin Luther, while Servellon-Sanchez investigates parallels between the atrocities committed during the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Holocaust. We hope you will find them as thought-provoking as we did! We also have a brief feature about our most recent event. On 14 May, Regimes Museum provided a mini-exhibition for an all-day speaking event centered around freedom of speech and political consciousness at Mount San Antonio College (Walnut, CA). The exhibition featured artifacts from various dictatorships across the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
