For my family's representation, I wrote and recited a short story about a little church history from my childhood point of view. In honor of Black History Month, I wanted to pay tribute to those in my own church family who made history in my eyes (black educators, musicians, mentors, artists, poets, dancers, etc.) who don't get noticed being from small town Gurdon.
