This issue of Cultured is focused on a game collective called Local No. 12. In March 2011, the three members of Local No. 12—John Sharp, Colleen Macklin & Eric Zimmerman—launched a card-based game about games called the Metagame at the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco.

In the near future, these three will be re-releasing decks of Metagame cards to the public. In an effort to profile the creation of the game and the people behind it, Cultured Magazine has chosen to focus on this for its second issue.
