Beauty and the Qur'an - Print Magazine

This picture book contains original pictures of mine coupled with a passage from each of the surahs in the Qur'an. Within many of the transliterations can be found many of the sacred phrases and 99 names of God used by the Orders of Sufis inspired by the work of Hazrat Inayat Khan. I have included an index on the last page. It is not my intention to portray these selected passages as summaries of the surahs, or collectively as a summary of the Qur'an itself. The Qur'an is intended to be taken as a whole, I have been taught, and that even translation from the Arabic is impossible; too much is lost in translation. But I want to know. I want to know all I can possibly know about what is behind the curtain. So I looked. And what I found was quite beautiful. ~Hakim
