“Root Primordia” is a term that classifies a group of cells within a plant that, when given the appropriate envorinment & circumstances, form root structures in the soil and bond the plant to the earth. With humans, there is a very similar phenomen we feel when we rehabitate, and must uproot ourselves & set those roots down in our new environment. This book of photography and poetry details the Root Primordia of Kendra Coburn and Ryan Porter. Two lovers against the world, accompanied by their son of the feline variety, embarking on a coming-of-age journey in a new environment. Each never having lived independently outside of their family units, they will discover what it means to make a foreign place a home.
