Scrapbooking in the classroom? Isn't school meant for learning things like reading, writing, and arithmetic? Yes, but photographs allow us to process what we see faster than hearing words. And, kids today are much better adept at visualizing images thanks to computers and digital photography. Using cameras in the classroom is not a new idea. Academic scrapbooking is because it takes the idea of digital photography and pairs it with what students are doing in the classroom so that our children have a visual record of all the positive things they do in class. This is powerful in helping kids to be successful in school and staying there to graduation.
