Marled socks are worked with two strands of fingering weight sock yarn held double. They are warm & cozy, quick to knit, beautiful, and unique. For the samples shown here, a variegated colorway is paired with a coordinating tonal, but there are many other options. Self-striping yarns look great when paired with a relatively neutral solid or semi-solid color. Using two highly contrasting yarns emphasizes the marl effect. You can even use a mini-skein set or random leftovers as one of the strands held with a single color that ties them all together.
