Many things can be said about Alternative Processes in Photography: It can be beautiful and to some, it is not. It follows traditional methods yet inspires experimentation. It records the past, yet can see into the future. It breaks barriers as well as establishes them. It can gloss over our national landscape as well as call out its injustices. It is our world.

The artists selected for this exhibit at CultureLabLIC at the Plaxall Gallery encompass all these characteristics with aplomb and conviction. Selected from over 200 entries from all over the US as well as from 8 different countries, the 72 exhibiting artists presented a variety of processes and a spectrum of emotions that befit the title: Other Ways of Seeing.
