As students play musical instruments, sing, listen and perform, they will be exploring important musical concepts, building essential musical skills, making original contributions, developing a deeper aesthetic responsiveness and, above all, enjoying the pleasure that making music together can bring. • Embedded in traditional children's games and play parties are all the social issues the child encounters as they journey outside the family circle into thge larger world. These games and dances provide children with the opportunity to successfully negotiate these issues within a context of enjoyment and pleasure which is the unique realm of music
