The project goal is to continue to bring awareness of food waste, impact on the local communities and climate change. The imagery included in this project is intended to move the viewer to think about how our food waste impacts our local environment, food insecurity and the global climate. I created images from food scraps saved from my normal process of cooking and expired food. No food that was still good to eat was used to make the photographs. Some of the food was heated or burned to represent the heating of the climate while others were allowed to degrade representing food wasting away in the landfill.
