This book, with text by Ronald Tennissen and Photography by Marshall Rimann, was created as a benefit for Heartland Honor Flight, the organization that honors military veterans by flying them from Kansas City to Washington DC to visit their memorials. The veteran profiles in this book tell the stories of a broad range of military personnel from those who were drafted to those who volunteered, from the days of the draft to today’s professional military, from the enlisted ranks to commissioned officers, from support to combat personnel, and from officer candidate school graduates to military academy graduates.
