MOMENTA is the fruition of years of hard work, artistic struggles and technological advances. A very wise man once told me... “Never let your art form become your job”. That was 1984. The print, publishing and distribution process is now only a ghost of what it once was. Our beloved darkrooms are almost a thing of the past. Digital media has attempted to replace the print but in the end it is the image... or the emotion evoked by the image that our spirits breathe. Combining new technologies while holding to the quality and aesthetic standards of the masters is what we hope to bring to the working photographer. We understand the urges that overcome a working photographer in the field covering a political rally or a business ribbon cutting ceremony. The photographer shooting a wedding that would rather be spending time at Yosemite or somewhere in the Bronx is who we want as the focus of our pages.
