urban fabrics (zine)

Urban Fabrics is a series of photographs that explore the role of people and objects in relation to fixed infrastructures of the jungle-like density city of my home Taipei. My approach is to observe and document the people and natural elements from afar using a flattened perspective. By doing so, emphasizing the composition of each image mimicking the idea of fabrics being sewn together. This choice arose during a 14 day government-regulated self-quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Without the ability to approach the city in a pedestrian view, I was forced to take the stance of an observer.
