A way to teach students in the Arts and Sciences is to engage them in unexpected ways so as to keep them interested and wanting to learn new subjects. One way is to use STEM programs such as the VEX VRC, FRC and FIRST contests. Although those programs are computer science and math related as well as for teaching competitive skills they can also be used for other educational purposes. The VEX Construction Set sold by Innovations, First, Inc. makes an ideal construction platform not only for building new robot and animatronics projects and for rapid prototyping new inventions but also for carrying out Chemistry and Physics experiments in the lab and even teaching students Digital Electronics in the classroom! So don't sell or trade those obsolete VEX Controllers! Instead, consider using them in other areas of education as a way to motivate and keep the student interested in learning.
