E K P H R A S I S. The word itself exudes a sense beauty, rhythm and the promise of creative minds colliding. Derived from ancient Greek, it means the graphic, often dramatic description of a visual work of art, a way for one medium of art to relate to another by defining and describing its essence and form. For ArtSceneToday it marks the second colloboration with phati’tude Literary Magazine. The winners and finalists in our competition were made available online for writers to create poetry or essays inspired by the works of art.
