Elemental

Elemental is a special collection of Hats featuring short row colourwork knitted sideways. Inspired by Nickelodeon's Avatar - The Last Air Bender and The Legend of Korra - these Hats explore the 5 elements through yarn bending.

A new grafting technique has been developed to allow the knitter to create a perfect finish across two or more colours. Detailed photographic tutorials are included.

Due to their construction, each of the patterns in this collection are graded through gauge and/or needle size. The instructions are provided as a panel map - a directional chart - that helps guide you through the short rows, clearly indicating the direction of knitting and stitch counts. Please click on each image in the gallery to find further details about individual patterns. The recommended yarn for these patterns is Bloomsbury DK from the Yarn Collective.
