rinascimento

'rinascimento' is born out of spontaneity: an unplanned trip to Italy. The cover photo depicts the first image after my overnight flight. Behind my window shade, a striking sunrise over the topograpy of France. My first thought is, capture it. With no time to plan, I was forced to discover Italy with a wanderer's approach, fresh eyes, and no agenda. My very first photo remains the most powerful one, given the immediate and bold Baroque undertones. It now feels quite fitting, given Italy's rich contribution to the Arts during the Renaissance period. Here you'll find a visual chronicling of my time in Rome, Florence and Venice. My focus is micro and minute, with an interest in exposing the details of Italy as opposed to the iconic Italian images.
