SONAM DOLMA:

Contemporary Tibetan Abstraction and Installation

  • Details
  • Description

This exhibition catalog surveys Sonam Dolma's recent painting and installation work with a curatorial essay, 21 images of her art, a look into her experiences, ideas and perceptions, and the new uses for traditional objects used in her installations. Sonam Dolma is one of very few Tibetan-born women who are working in the West. Through exploring her own inner mountains in her artmaking, she is redefining what is generally thought of as Tibetan contemporary art through an odyssey that is intensely personal, spiritual, political and global. This exhibition is hosted by C X Silver Gallery Brattleboro Vermont.
