Art of Bonding

During the majority of this project I was pregnant with my first baby, Nicholas. While preparing to bring a new life into the world I focused my illustrations around my anticipation of motherhood with a short series of images accompanied by writings to my baby. Through my series of images I used the opportunity to paint as a way to develop a close, interpersonal relationship with my soon to be son. As I completed each piece of work I was able to work through my fears, thoughts and feelings about our future together.
