The MASH Unit is Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s no-kill animal shelter, which houses abused and neglected animals who were rescued by the MCSO Animal Crimes Investigations Unit. The MASH Unit is an Inmate Program where sentenced female inmates are taught how to care for these animals until they can be adopted to a loving home. The inmates and the animals develop a relationship built on trust. The animals learn to trust people again and the inmates the given unconditional love they need to learn to love themselves. --- For more information, visit our website listed below.
