The Health of Our Mothers

In this issue we focused on the theme of maternal health, number five on the MDG. Profiles in this issue include: Jenny Ling who works at the Unwed Mother's Home in Penang, Malaysia, housing mothers as young as 12. World Connect, a Boston based organization empowering local leaders in many parts of the world. Morgan and Chamisa, Peace Corp volunteers in Costa Rica, helping mothers raise chickens and grow vegetables for a healthy family and community. Smita who works at CHETNA, a health education organization, creates calendars to educate families in rural regions of India.
