BE THE WORD is an Atlanta-based zine (shorter version of a magazine) that's in affiliation with the activist group, mutual aid, and art collective called Don't Say A Word (DSAW). BE THE WORD is a publication for the people and is centered around uplifting black spirits, knowledge, and communities through storytelling, photography, and facts.
The second issue of BE THE WORD is titled FOOD because the importance of food and knowing how to grow it is an innovative wave hitting the metro Atlanta area. So many live in food deserts and don't know how to source for nourishing food that's affordable. This FOOD issue is here before you as a tool for information and inspiration with stories, recipes, and more.
