The Wallflower Tam is a four page knitting pattern including written instructions and charts. The tam is knit in the round with fingering weight yarn. The two-color stranded fabric features a stylized floral motif arranged in a diamond checkerboard pattern. Corrugated ribbing at the brim is set off with contrasting trim worked in reverse stockinette stitch. The pattern is written for women’s size medium and may be knit as a classic or relaxed, slouchy tam by varying the gauge. See Wallflower mitt(en)s for the coordinating mitten and fingerless mitt pattern. Finished Measurements: Pattern is written for size women’s medium, to fit 21 - 22 in./53 - 56 cm head circumference. Measurements are shown for a classic (or relaxed) fit.
