In this exhibition concurrent with the production of this publication Bob Boemig is showing a collection of his interior sculptural reliefs done over the past two decades. His sculptures use construction materials and debris, cardboard, enamel, gravel, wood, stone, leaves, vines, twigs and branches. The series ‘Ashes to Ashes and Dust to Dust,’ makes use of fire, except in certain works composed out of vellum and urethane. In the ‘Nebula’ series, he uses chiffon fabric covering over the sculptural reliefs. These two series represent contrasting but intertwined themes.
